Let the Tour Begin - New York Day One 17 May 2012New York, NY Hello, lovelies! I am now in NYC safe and sound. I survived a seven-hour flight from Heathrow, airport customs, and a cab to my hotel. All in my uncharacteristically sensible Love Wear Art boots. Normally, the only things that can pry me out of my Nina Dolcettis are my Atalanta Weller wedges.  On our way here, Ted mostly behaved himself, outside of a fortunately brief scuffle with my brand-new Sara Ebbett scarf that my boss Deb (from Young British Designers) kindly gave me before I left. The little pup is convinced that I should carry him around in my Meli Melo bag at all times. But, he seemed content throughout the flight with his under-the-seat case. A few biscuits now and then didn’t hurt, of course. Today is my first full day in the Big Apple. I am here through the weekend and early next week for meetings. I’m hoping to meet up with a few friends in addition to work colleagues. On Sunday, I am going out for brunch with some NYC writers I know. Catching up with friends over mimosas should be really amazing! The mission for the next few days is to explore the sights as fashionably I can. I tend to get quite lost. So, New Yorkers, if you see a bleary-eyed Brit wandering around Times Square or the Statue of Liberty in 4” heels, please do say hello as that’s likely me! Hello, lovelies! I am now in NYC safe and sound.
